Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
I don't do 40+ minute lines... but if I'm there with the kids and it's about 20 minutes, I'll be more apt to go now that there is stuff for the kiddies to do while we wait.

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
I think from what I saw of the lay-out plans they intend to keep railroad station at Fantasyland/Mickey's Toon-Town. I would presume that during construction it could be walled off and closed down until the Expansion project has been completed.
Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
Nope. From the concept art, it will still be there. Just might look different. As with most of this Expansion, time will tell.mkfan1992 wrote:Are they getting rid of the Railroad stop?

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
The stop at Mickey's Toontown was still open when we were just there. I wonder if they will close it down at some point until the expansion is done?!
Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
We still don't know when/if Mickey's Toontown Fair is going to be demolished. For all we know, the train station isn't going to happen. I've said it before and I'll say it again (especially with this expansion), time will tell.boilerbabe wrote:The stop at Mickey's Toontown was still open when we were just there. Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
The only way I see them keeping Toon Town is if they have officially scrapped the Pixie Hollow idea. They need a place to meet & greet with the fairies. The lines are still 70 minutes long, so I can't see them totally shutting them down.
Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
After riding Winnie the Pooh 2 days ago, I must say, the new queue is nice and the kids will love it. The honey walls already have scuff marks in some places and after touching them, WASH YOUR HANDS!!!

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
When I took the Undiscovered Future World tour a few weeks ago, I quizzed the guide about that. Now granted, low-level Guest Relations employees don't necessarily know anything more than we message board denizens. But she pretty much confirmed that the Cindy/Aurora meet-and-greet had been canned in favor of something more likely to appeal to boys. Don't know if it's the Mine Train coaster, but it could be.NaCler wrote:I have really been hearing a lot about this Mine Coaster lately. Then I heard that Snow White is closing in February next year. Does anyone know more on this? What's the latest rumor???
Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
Unfortunately, Disney is taking its time revealing anything new. Heck we don't even know if TTF is going bye-bye or not anymore. Wish they would hurry up and release some info soon!Future Guy wrote:When I took the Undiscovered Future World tour a few weeks ago, I quizzed the guide about that. I love the marketing for this one "For the first time Fantasyland will have a railroad stop!" Right.MadEye wrote:Nope. From the concept art, it will still be there. Just might look different. As with most of this Expansion, time will tell.mkfan1992 wrote:Are they getting rid of the Railroad stop?
Is the fairy coaster still a go or is that changing?

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
I don't understand the two different queues for kids and adults. Can the adults still watch their kids? And the comment from someone claiming to be a Pooh load area CM in the above linked article doesn't seem to be too promising with respect to parents supervising their children (again it's not clear how you do this, I assume the line wraps around a central play area) going so far as to say she witnesses parents staring at their kids as they threw mulch down the AA gopher holes and did nothing, as well as having a clean merge with kids rejoining their parents as they reach the queue/play area merge area. I feel like this is a really good idea in theory, but in reality it will just make a mess.
Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
I didn't see a difference. When I waited in line last week, the kids and parents were not separated.
