until someone comes up w/ a for sure answer amy, i think it's safe to say that at least they'll follow their movie release promo patterns and keep it running for a few month's after the dec premier. for as much as everyone enjoyed seeing it, i wonder if they need to get rid of it at all. there's only one, so it's an eye catching novelty when it goes by. even people who don't know about the movie were going "wow, what's that?".Amy wrote:Does anyone know how much longer the Tron-o-rail will be running?

Re: Favorite picture taking locations
I have pictures of Tron-o-rail, but not from that angle. I ended up catching Monorail Silver in front of SSE. Here is the end product from my spot. (sorry I have to post the direct link for the image)nicklesm17 wrote:this sounds like a good one len. i think if you could get one w/ the new "tron"-o-rail, you'd have a real keeper. every time that thing drove past people were stopping and commenting about it. i (by luck) was able to ride it from epcot to the ttc one night. it looks just as good up close as it does from a distance. the interior is no different, but everyone was so impressed w/ its new exterior look, that i was still happy to be able to make the claim that i rode in it. it's definitely an eyecatcher. i wish i would have had your suggestion before my trip. if it's not too late, perhaps you could make this shot and post it?Len90 wrote:I have a lot, but one of my favorites is to frame the monorail passing by perfectly in front of SSE. I guess that would by Showcase Plaza looking back into Future World.

Re: Favorite picture taking locations
Wow, I can't pick a favorite spot! I go with the moment and take the shots that appeal to me at the time. It's different for each trip, different for different days, and different depending on the time of day, or even the crowd levels. I can say one thing with certainty, though: almost any picture is a million times better if you can catch it with no bystanders in it! I love getting those kinds of shots!

that is cool. i imagine it may be even cooler at night, but you'd probably get a smear effect changing your camera to night settings. still, really like that reflection on the water, nice one len.Len90 wrote:I have pictures of Tron-o-rail, but not from that angle. I do like this photo Len! Did you have to wait long to capture it?Len90 wrote:...I have pictures of Tron-o-rail, but not from that angle. I ended up catching Monorail Silver in front of SSE. Here is the end product from my spot. (sorry I have to post the direct link for the image)

That is an awesome picture Len! How did you have to wait for that one? On our past trip, I waited for 15 mins. over by Nemo, no Monorail. Hopefully I can capture it on this next trip!
Re: Favorite picture taking locations
We prefer just as you come down main street, where you can get the castle in the background. 2nd choice is at the main entrance by the the train station when the train is waiting at the station.

What I try to do is line up the kids in the same spots each time we go. It's great to see them through the years.

In order to capture that picture, I had to wait for about 5-6 minutes. The thing that made it really tough was that it was sunny and over 90 degrees. I still personally feel it was really worth the wait.

Cool photo BIG! I bet that takes some timing to get that shot
That isn't a bad wait at all Len ~ certainly not for how great the picture turned out!Len90 wrote:In order to capture that picture, I had to wait for about 5-6 minutes. nice timing, good angle too. i usually try to make this shot from tom sawyer island, but the angle (i'm guessing from the upper deck?) makes this shot superior.theBIGyowski wrote:This is a new favorite of mine that I want to get each trip now.

Re: Favorite picture taking locations
That is a nice angle theBIGyowski! I definitely will have to try that out next time I go. I would think there needs to be a lot of good timing for you to catch the train at the right spot. You are playing with the timing of the boat and the timing of the train.
Thanks amy.
Thanks amy.
