A planter near the base of the walkway up to The Land, facing Space Ship Earth, with the Monorail in the frame. Got a few good ones of the different Monorails, along with the Girlfriend. Never a bad picture of any of those things

Re: Favorite picture taking locations
that's a tough one, certainly the pics are part of the fun of the trip. i think the one i look forward to the most each year is the family shot in front of tree of life, and also a little harder to get there's a shot of everest fom the bridge to africa. in their own both of these shots are fine. why i like them best is the time of day. if you happy to be lucky enough to come to ak on a magic hours night, that's what makes these 2 pics unique, and among my top favorites from the trip every year.

SSE seen through the Vermilion Torii Gate is always a must for me. Also, the past few trips I have loved taking "artistic" pictures of Cinderella's Castle out of focus behind the roses in the rose garden.

I love to take pictures all over the parks!
Though we haven't been to WDW in over 7 years, my favorite pictures seem to be with SSE in the background, near JII and any with the castle.
On a side note, in DL, my fave spots are around the castle, ROA and the Court of Angels.

The Court of Angels is a tucked away little cove in NOS between a couple of the shops. I am embarassed to say that I cannot remember which shops they are.Amy wrote:Where is the Court of Angels in DL MmeLeota?MmeLeota wrote:I love to take pictures all over the parks!

It used to be so much more secretive, but the area is actually being used now so more folks know about it

EDIT: I found some pics on the web since I do not have access to my pics right now.

It used to be so much prettier, but since it's recent usage for various things, the area is not as pristine as it once was.

Ok, yup, I know where that is. It does seem to be getting a bit more commercial in that area...

I have a lot, but one of my favorites is to frame the monorail passing by perfectly in front of SSE. I guess that would by Showcase Plaza looking back into Future World. In MK, I always love the entrance to Tomorrowland with the sun setting behind me. It creates such a beautfiul lighting effect on the area.
Another angle I have become a huge fan of is where you take the child's perspective with your camera. To accomplish this, I get down on one knee and aim looking up at the thing I'm taking a picture of. It really showcases how smart Disney was with their designs.

I love shooting from the child's perspective as well. Unfortunately, I am not as young as I once was so it's a little more difficult to do these days...Len90 wrote:I have a lot, but one of my favorites is to frame the monorail passing by perfectly in front of SSE. Funny story...Back when DCA first opened, I was trying to get an artistic shot of Paradise Pier from across the bay. So I proceeded to actually lay down on the ground for the shot (it was closing time so no crowds)...as I was getting back up, a lady approached me laughing saying how she was about to call a CM because she thought I had fallen or something but then realized what I was doing.

this sounds like a good one len. i think if you could get one w/ the new "tron"-o-rail, you'd have a real keeper. every time that thing drove past people were stopping and commenting about it. i (by luck) was able to ride it from epcot to the ttc one night. it looks just as good up close as it does from a distance. the interior is no different, but everyone was so impressed w/ its new exterior look, that i was still happy to be able to make the claim that i rode in it. it's definitely an eyecatcher. i wish i would have had your suggestion before my trip. if it's not too late, perhaps you could make this shot and post it?Len90 wrote:I have a lot, but one of my favorites is to frame the monorail passing by perfectly in front of SSE. I love taking pictures, some of my favorite is to get Everest while a train is coming out, up at spaceship earth from underneath, and the castle. I also love action shots. I set my camera to take several rapid shots while on thunder mountain, it's pretty cool if you get another train going by.
Also, one last favorite. I take pictures of the inferno barge illuminations from morocco

Does anyone know how much longer the Tron-o-rail will be running?nicklesm17 wrote:this sounds like a good one len. i think if you could get one w/ the new "tron"-o-rail, you'd have a real keeper. every time that thing drove past people were stopping and commenting about it. i (by luck) was able to ride it from epcot to the ttc one night. it looks just as good up close as it does from a distance. the interior is no different, but everyone was so impressed w/ its new exterior look, that i was still happy to be able to make the claim that i rode in it. it's definitely an eyecatcher. i wish i would have had your suggestion before my trip. if it's not too late, perhaps you could make this shot and post it?Len90 wrote:I have a lot, but one of my favorites is to frame the monorail passing by perfectly in front of SSE.
