Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
Decided not to go to the MVMCP because it falls on a day that won't work out for our schedule. So, my question is, does anyone know if they light up the castle with the magical white lights on other December nights as well?? It's difficult on a weekend trip to see the Osbourne lights, Magic Kingdom decorations and lights, decorations at EPCOT, and all the beautiful trees decorated at the Resorts... Oh well, we will be trying to fit it all in!!!

Sorry to hear about MVMCP. You are not miss'n much. We did it, had fun, but we were dead tired the next day. It's been acouple of years since my family and I have gone during Christmas, but what I remember is every night just around dark thirty, they lite up the castle.

We've done the party for the past 3 years now but are not going this year. Last year was a disappointment. They turned the castle on around 6:00 - 6:30 so that even if you weren't staying for the party you could still have the experience of the beautiful "ice" castle. Unfortunately, they turned the lights OFF around 10:00pm even with the party going until midnight. I was very disappointed in Disney for that. They turned the "kiss goodnight" lights on instead. I'm sorry you will be missing the party if it's something you really wanted to do, but I think you would get more pleasure out of Osbourne Lights during a Fantasmic performance (less crowded) than paying $60 for a party.

Yup agree with everybody... decided on the Osbourne lights rather than fight the crowds for an extra $250 for my family for the MVMCP! Seems a little steep to me! I'm glad I'll get to see the ice castle on saturday night though, it sounds like it's so pretty! Really looking forward to this trip, even though we live in Miami and have annual passes, we really don't get up to WDW very much. And we haven't been there during Christmas in I think about 8 years, life gets so busy. P.S. Happy Veterans Day to any Subsonic Vets!

How weird . . . I wonder if they only turned the lights off on certain nights? I know that when we were there last year for MVMCP I took pictures of the castle just around midnight and the icicle lights were on. That photo has been my phone wallpaper since last December.missynole wrote:We've done the party for the past 3 years now but are not going this year. Last year was a disappointment.
