I would've been so upset to see the attraction closed down like that. How did you get in there? I assume some sneaking around during Food and Wine.

...or perhaps having an undisclosed castmember who's a friend that could get you inside?

No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

they did the same thing with 20,000 leagues, after it closed, everything sat there for years. They took the vehicles out, but the ride sat there till they decided what to do with it.

Wouldn't kill them to update everything: Body Wars 2.0 (all new film, with new computer graphics special effects - maybe even 3D) and Crannium Command 2.0 (all new film). Who knows? Dig up Food Rocks from storage and install it in there somewhere.

Sounds like a covert operation getting in to get the pictures, I wish I had been there! This was a super awesome show, they need to bring it back! Maybe we should start a "Save Buzzy" campaign?? Count me in!

Doesn't Body Wars use the same technology as Star Tours? That would make it relatively easy to reimagine I would think. And I like any plan where Food Rocks makes a comebackmindflipper wrote:Wouldn't kill them to update everything: Body Wars 2.0 (all new film, with new computer graphics special effects - maybe even 3D) and Crannium Command 2.0 (all new film). That always killed me! I just loved that ride, I thought it was so unique, I wish they could've done a refurb like DL did.leblanan wrote:they did the same thing with 20,000 leagues, after it closed, everything sat there for years. I saw props from Food Rocks show up on eBay, I think maybe Mouse Surplus, a few years ago. I agree with everything else you said though - would be very easy to re-open the pavilion. Maybe when the next sponsor won't shell out $100M Disney will offer an idea like this up.mindflipper wrote:Wouldn't kill them to update everything: Body Wars 2.0 (all new film, with new computer graphics special effects - maybe even 3D) and Crannium Command 2.0 (all new film). I don't know if I would say it is "very easy" to reopen, it most likely isn't simply just turning the power back on. Just like with other attractions, if there is no immediate plans for the space they let it sit and serve as a warehouse and scrapyard. For all we know significant parts of the rides are missing and all that is left is what the guests see or everything is in a deep state of disrepair.

Re: Wonders of Life Pavilion Memories UPDATE-Buzzy Lives!
Can it really be that hard to update. I think it would take a serious refurbishment, but it's not the same as building all new rides. I would love to see updated movies with Buzzy, Body Wars, Goofy, and the Making of Me.
However, thinking about it now, a lot of the money that would be used to reopen WOL would probably be spent in the movies itself. Think about it. Body Wars had some significant actors in it. They were definitely higher than VH1 caliber. Same with Cranium Command. They basically used the cast of SNL and some extra actors. Also, the host of the Making of Me was Martin Short. If they used him again or another A-list actor, Disney would have to shell out the big bucks. And that's not even including money used for special effects.
