Cpt. EO seating question

Post by Wizzard419 » Sep Fri 10, 2010 4:47 pm

I was wondering, are the CMs running EO at epcot really anal about seating like the ones at DLR are/were?

After the hype had worn down with the show they were still making everyone move all the way down to the end of the rows in the theaters. The end result was that about 3/4 of the theater seats were empty and everyone had to view it from the side.

Very annoying.

Not at all. It's probably because EO isn't nearly as popular in Florida as it is in Southern Cal. The theater never fills up.

Ah, yeah, the dirty secret is that most shows/rides are retired for a reason, there usually isn't a large enough draw of people to merit keeping them open.

I would think they are only enforcing moving down and filling in all available seats when the show is full ~ which it doesn't sound like it is at all

I was there on the soft opening when they had park managers hanging out inside the theater and they were trying to get people to move all the way across the aisles. However, there was plenty of ample room and it was literally a walk on. I would say that they most likely will not care where you sit. Especially now since the "hype" has worn off and there is a lull down in between the peak seasons.

I take it that the show is exactly the same as in California, right? They make use of the moving floor and a few of the built in effects.

Any word on what the next 3D movie will be?

I imagine nothing will happen with the Imagination pavilion until after California's big DCA overhaul and WDW's Fantasyland upgrade.

You're right, plus there is also the Star Tours upgrade going on as well. They need to space out upgrades so that they can get people to come multiple times to see it all.
