To be safe, he decided he would ride on the "inside" with me and another cousin flanking him on each side.
That is too funny! The drop in POTC is one of my Mom's most favorite parts...I'm guessing your cousin never has gone on Splash Mountain then?!
No, he passed on Splash Mountain (wimp!). There's a story why he sat in the middle:
When we were at EPCOT, we rode the Maelstrom in Norway. When he got in the boat, he was the outside, and as I got into the boat I said to him, "Are you sure you want to be sitting there?" Well, he freaked and quickly changed the seating arrangements. My other cousin and I laughed that he fell for such an obvious Jedi Mind Trick. But, hey, I'm the Mindflipper - that's what I do!

I just now noticed this post. When are you going, exactly? Can you make our Dole Whip meet-up at the Poly on the 4th? We have a thread dedicated to that.

I already checked on it Mouskedude because it sounds like I have a lot in common with him, but according to his counter It looks like he will be down there about 2 1/2 weeks after us, so we'll miss him and his family this time.

We have yet to see the full stop of Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! I really hope that we can go next year and that Disney will still be running it. The thing that really is upsetting about it is that they really don't ever announce the times for it in advance so you have no idea when they will pop out and perform.

I have been watching, with envy, the development of the Meet-Up, but I cannot attend. We are going the week just prior to Christmas (19th-25 I think)
My trips to Disney are always riddled with compromises and negotiations because my wife has "had enough of Disney." And on this trip, the dates were not negotiable--some other things were, but they were not.
I wish I could make it, but I'm afraid I will be too late. I will be there in spirit!
Thanks for pointing it out and asking about it--it means a lot to me.

I'm sorry you can't make it. Can you send us a picture so we can make a life-size cutout of your face, as others are going to do? Tell you what, I'll let you answer that in the meet-up thread. See you over there!

Here is something I have never, ever done, nor will I ever--Dumbo.
I just cannot do those rides that make a small circle like that (since i've gotten older).
I used to be able to, but I just can't anymore.

If you are ever brave enough to find yourself back on one of the spinning rides, just remember that if you go higher, like telling Dumbo to fly all the way to the top, you will feel less g-forces than if you stay at the lowest position...

Well, besides the rides that I wont ride because they are too scary (Everest, etc.) I have never seen the Osborne family LIghts. I have never ridden Dumbo, or Peter Pan or Snow White's Scary Adventure. I have never seen the Finding Nemo show and I havent seen the new O Canada with Martin short.

My goodness, you still have a lot to do and see on your next trip! I highly recommend the Osborne lights if you can make it during the holidays. They are absolutely spectacular

Unfortunately, since I don't live in Orlando any more, I don't think it will ever happen, but who knows what the future holds?

If you're in SC, that's only a hop, skip and a jump up the coast...remember if you can dream it then you can do it

Had a few firsts this past trip:
-rode the magical express
-saw the Finding Nemo show at AK
-saw the Lion King show at AK
-ate at Via Napoli
and, most importantly . . . had my first Dole Whip!
Still have to ride Everest -- next trip!

And the verdict on the Dole Whip is?!?!?
