Re: Tom Sawyer Island
Tom Sawyer Island is an excellent escape from the crowds of Magic Kingdom. its also perfect for taking pictures---especially that of Haunted Mansion.
One of the subtle changes I would make to Frontierland if I had the opportunity would be that everytime a child fires one of the guns from the fort in Tom Sawyer Island, the guests riding Big Thunder hear the gunshots on their side, just to enhance the attraction a little. Maybe with even more effort, some sand getting kicked up as the gunfire is heard.

I love Tom Sawyer's Island...I don't why it gets such a bad rap. I think they need to do more things over there!

My nephew has just finished his cross training at TSI and now is fully trained on all of Frontierland.

So far just Frontierland. He's only been there since last August. Started with the college program and now is going to school in Orlando and working at the MK full time.MmeLeota wrote:Woo hoo! Congrats! That's awesome! What other lands has he worked in?

Re: Tom Sawyer Island
It's still cool to be able to say that you're certified for the whole land! I remember being certified for every ride in our (non-Disney) park except for one...and that was sort of by choice. It was a great feeling regardless.Jacca5660 wrote:So far just Frontierland. He's only been there since last August. Re: Tom Sawyer Island
I'm very proud of him!! He's always want to work at WDW and get a degree with something involving amusement parks. He's been a member of ACE since he's 7 and has or had his own Roller Coaster web site. He's living out his dream. How many of us can say that?

Re: Tom Sawyer Island
August will be our 3rd trip in 12 months, so we'll be doing some of the "rest" (since we were previously only doing best of the best). So we'll hit TSI, the Liberty Belle, Swiss Family Staircase, etc.
Thanks,
Doc

Thanks for the tips in finding the paintbrushes. I had always wondered how many there were, how big (full size or miniature), and whether or not they really existed.

Perfect spot to go during busy times of the year... less crowded!
