I would love to do maintenance in Spaceship Earth and ride the little maintenance cart around

Actually, on Disney Channel I believe, they showed how that was done. It was done with a safety harness attached to a pole mount. And they only allow certain trained individuals up there on the top, not just any cast member.Len90 wrote:Mickey probably had suction cups on his shoes to be able to stand up there like that.Future Guy wrote:You can be sure that Mickey was wearing some kind of safety harness that was firmly attached to the building. No way he could have fallen off. Still, I've read that the aluminum that makes up SSE's coating is smoother than glass. I wonder if it was hard for Mickey to maintain his footing?
As for going back to the classical EPCOT Center and MGM Studios, that would be amazing.
LOL!!!! Could you see the headlines in papers if they did something like that: "Mickey Mouse Serving Life on Death Row"greendoor678 wrote:You sure they didn't get a death-row inmate to go up there disguised as Mickey?
He's their superstar! Their corporate icon! Do you think they would have had the REAL Mickey Mouse up there on Spaceship Earth? No way! It was a stunt-double Mickey Mouse. I'm sure the insurance carrier for Disney wouldn't let the REAL Mickey Mouse do anything that dangerous...Future Guy wrote:What's all this talk of people "playing" Mickey? That was Mickey.
So that's what happened to Morty and Ferdie!mindflipper wrote:He's their superstar! Their corporate icon! Do you think they would have had the REAL Mickey Mouse up there on Spaceship Earth? No way! Yeah, I'm wondering if that is simply cast member rumors but you never know...greendoor678 wrote:I just read the blog article that Amy posted. It says that the cast member had an "accident" (the potty kind) while filming atop SE. If that is true, I can't say that I blame them at all!

I would pay them to be able to go up there ~ that would be an awesome experience!!boilerbabe wrote:Amy wrote:Yeah, I'm wondering if that is simply cast member rumors but you never know...greendoor678 wrote:I just read the blog article that Amy posted. Hmmm...if they had a "potty" accident, I'm sure it trickled down nicely through S.E.![]()
You could not pay me enough $$$ to go atop S.E. like that! YIKES! I'm sure that's what heck of a view though!
You would probably be alright with just the camera. It's not like there are any bodies of water (or boats) so close as to encourage mousketinklingMousekedude wrote:I agree with Amy! I would so pay for a chance to do that... as long as they let me bring my camera and wear a "Depends."![]()
