+1. I doubt the track could handle it, though. Then again, it was built to withstand hurricanes.

At 100 mph the g forces around that little loop would tear the mouse ears off of your head :mickey: . If there where no track mods they might launch a car through the track into the fastpass distribution area, or worse the turkey leg cart! :)

I was a CM when Test Track was being built, and we kept hearing rumors that the cars liked to toss the testing dummies out into the CM parking lot. D: I don't think they could get the cars up to 100mph and have them still be safe.

You would think if they can't afford to fix the entire attraction at this moment, can they at least update the pre-loading video?! It's a bit sad to see vehicles they do not even make anymore. As far as the actual ride, I still enjoy it. I've always felt though with TT, if I have to wait more than 20 mins. for it, I will pass. I don't feel it's worth a terribly long wait. Hopefully Disney will give this attraction a face lift soon!

We enjoyed the post show on our last visit, they had the new Camaro in the show room. I'm a Ford Mustang girl, but I had to check out the new muscle car. I sat in it and felt as if I had cheated on my Stang!
Do you have a mustang? This is mine. I would agree that I can make a ride as exciting as the high speed loop on test track on a highway on-ramp. But it doesn't have the voice of Bill McKim and the burnout noise when the car accelerates unless you want to pay for $500 of new tires... at least not yet. Image
That's a pretty pony you have there! This is mine, 2001 with some modifications. 8-)

Nice Mustangs there folks! Saw the undercover police red mustang in our area tonight. It was all lit up and looking pretty with it's LED lights on, both front and back. First time I have seen it ~ thankfully not in my rearview mirror! It reminded me a bit of Kit from Knightrider except it had red and blue lights in the grill instead of just red :D

I wonder if the queue gets less love because the emphasis is on the fastpass now, and fastpass riders don't see much of the queue? I've always thought the little movie was bad, so I wouldn't mind seeing an update.

The history of Test Track being built is an interesting one. I don't think it has ever run as envisioned.
Oh man! I almost forgot about that! I hated that thing...

Technically it doesn't add anything to your wait time. There are still people in front of you waiting to board - the time you spend watching the video is time you would have just spent standing in line otherwise. The biggest issue is that they shove everyone in there without maintaining the line, so people get pushy and separated from their parties. But even if you are the first person in the room and are the last person out, that's less than 5 minutes difference in your wait.

It does make me sad about the broken effects though. It was one of the coolest queues.
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

You are right about the pushing and shoving part---people act like they still dont have to wait in another line. Relax and enjoy the hidden mickeys...

When we were there in Feb all of those things were working... but the biggest complaint I have is that the ride seems to be down for part of the day almost every day... and if it's raining I think they HAVE to take it off line. Something about the tires, maybe?
Thanks,
Doc

TT is one of the attractions they shut down when it's raining/storming. Something about the lightening.
