Jacca, you better believe there would be rum-laced dole whips! ;)

metsofny, omg! I have not thought about Gizmo Duck in so long!

We apparently missed out on a rare chance to have a photo op with Maleficent (my fave villain) at the D23 anniversary party...but we did get to see the old hag from Snow White (and she had a slight wardrobe malfunction )

How about Elliott from Pete's Dragon? That matches up with the disappearing Cheshire Cat from DLR!

Others:
Kita and Mole from Atlantis,
Dreamfinder and Figment (credit to earlier posts!),
E.V.E. and Wall-E (and replace motorized "killer carts" with floating sleds from same movie),
Giselle and Pip from Enchanted, along with a short parade like the scene from the movie (IMHO and very under-rated movie).

This is really a fun thread! :mickey:

I'd like to see them bring back Figment. And more villains! I'd love to meet Malificent (although it might scare me, too  ).

After reading the "Storytime with..." story, I would not want to meet Malificent ~ she scares me

We had "movie night" Friday night and watched Robin Hood. I would love to see some of those characters around the parks.

You really couldn't do too many villains because they would scare children. I am in total agreement that Robin Hood could use some more characters. Maybe Roger Rabbit...I know he used to be a fixture back in the day. Are Huey, Dewey, and Louis there in the parks much? I assume they were when Ducktales was big.

I remember at one point at DL they had all the characters from "Disney Afternoon" there. Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, & Talespin...it was awesome! But I don't think I've seen them since.

As far as the villains go, unfortunately I think because the kids would be too frightened, they don't bring them out often...except Halloween time. (at least at DL)

I use to love Disney Afternoon as a kid! Man, that would be great if I could get a pic with Gadget, Monty, Zipper along with Chip and Dale! Heehee, thanks for the memories!

Anytime! I'll look to see if I still have any of those pics and if I do, I'll try to scan them and share.

But of course!

I would actually like to see Maleficent. She is a big part of our whole Disney story (see our December '09 trip report and the "Story time" thread). But I agree that it wouldn't be practical: too scary for the rug rats.

I think they ought to do something with Meet the Robinsons (I know, I know... I've said it before...). I'm not sure how they would do that, but I'm sure there's enough imagineering brainpower to come up with something...

You know, something interesting to consider: there are some things that are really great, like "Up", but that just don't seem to lend themselves to having any characters represented at WDW. Wouldn't it be cool to come up with a way to feature some of the characters from "Up" somehow? I wonder how they could do that.... :?:

Jaccariffic is fine! Anything from our Subictionary is an honor....
And thanks! Mouseoholic found it for me. At first she wasn't going to let me even see it, but by the way she was freaking out when she saw it, I knew she would just have to give in. She said it was the epitome of my character on these boards, so she just had to let me use it. Naturally, I agree...
