"Old Farts" apparently has nothing to do with it! Old and young alike are enamored with AK, regardless of the reason. Just as old and young alike are not enamored with it, for various reasons. Oh well, I'm just babbling.... never mind....

I just pray to God that I am never faced with this delema of not being able to go to all four parks (and squeeze in a waterpark too). But after thinking long and hard I have to say I would have to go to MK/EP/AK and leave out DS. I guess it all comes down to the animals. I love the Safari. It's never been the same each time we have gone. You always see different things. EE is a great can't miss attraction too. But since AK closes early couldn't i just please sneak over to DS at least to see Fantasmic at the end of the day :?:

I would skip AK.
Camp Mickey is a joke.
Dinoland is a county fair that just wants more money.
Africa just has its zoo.
Asia, I don't like water rides, and E:E is still in B mode.
I love the park, but it's an easy skip.

I'm 22, but I've always thought about the park that way.
When I go to Disney, I want to experience things I can't do other places. The safari ride is cool, but after a few times, it is just a ride thru a zoo.
Dino Land is just like the fair downtown, it even has the same spinning coaster.
Every park close to home has a rapids ride, and Camp Mickey only has the one show (which I love and always see).
I normally spend at least 1.5 days at the park, but if I had to skip a park, it would be the one with very few unique attractions.

If I could only visit three of the parks? I'd go to Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. There's not enough at Disney's Animal Kingdom to make me want to spend more than half a day there - and in fact, that's precisely how much time I spent there on my last trip (which was 14 days long.) On my last trip, I had a short list of things to do at DAK which included Everest, Lion King, Nemo and the safari. Having met up with YZFDonor and Mrs YZFDonor mid-morning I also did Dinosaur and Everest another time and had some lunch. Then I went and spent the rest of the day at the Studios. I didn't return to DAK at all during the rest of the trip.

So yeah, I'd skip DAK. there's just much more to see and do at the other three parks.

The reason I asked about age is that Jacca has a theory that older folks skip AK, younger folks skip DHS. (I think that was the theory). Anyway, I should ask the same question of you, acp, since you also would skip AK.

DH and I would also skip AK over DHS, we're in our 30's. That's not even a thought! DHS is one of my favs. We do like AK, it's just not our fav.

If that is the theory I'm the exception I would class myself as an older person but I would definitely skip DHS. I only go there for Muppets and now Toy Story Mania.

Hate to say it, but of the four parks I would only do MK, Epcot and DHS. Don't get me wrong, I love AK but a ton of rides (DInosaur, Everest) need a lot of work done to fix effects and such (Yeti has been broken for years on Everest...)
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

What is the Yeti supposed to do? I've seen this in several different places now that he is broken and needs to be fixed. Having never been on the ride I am at a loss as to what he might do...is it like the Abominable Snowman in the Matterhorn because he is a little less than exciting...

I'm with Sleepy. As an older person, I would have to choose Epcot, AK, and MK. I usually spend the least amount of time at DHS (even less now ever since Fantasmic showings were reduced) - my body is having more and more trouble taking on the Tower and Rockin' :D
