I like TL much better than BB! TL is more relaxing with a little bit of everything for everyone. BB is more for the thrill seeker. BB is mostly slides. TL has slides, but also the best wave pool, swimming with the sharks, a kiddie area, and the best lazy river. TL also has the new slide/roller coaster Crusher Gusher!

Got to be TL, the wave pool is great, and i know a little secret place where you can just fly over the wave. 8)

As many times as i've been to Disney, i've never been to a water park. I get too obsessed with the parks to take a day off to go to one. :)

Maybe when I go in september I will make an effort to go to a WP.

Both water parks are great. However, on a really hot day, there is much more shade at TL.

You know, I've never even tried to go to one. Every time I drive by there's a line as far as the eye can see for a slide, and that sort of defeats the purpose for me. It's like, forty minutes out of water to get a thirty second ride to the pool, repeat, repeat... :) Wave pools are pretty cool, though.

Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite. It's my favorite waterpark anywhere for that matter. The huge lazy river and the wave pool is all I need. I hope to get to surf there on my next trip.

What about river country. I always thought it was pretty cool. Is it still there, haven't been back to any water parks in a long time. But I always liked how it had an old school, Tom Sawyerish feel to it.

Disney closed River Country down a few years ago. Not sure why.

I have been to Blizzard beach, it is pretty cool, (pardon the pun) this was about 9 years ago, but It was definitely an enjoyable experience.

River Country was Disney's oldest water park. I'm not sure what they will do with it but It was the most dated of all of the water parks.

it's been closed for a couple of years now, and believe that they will bring it back with some new additions and a new name...

Wow everyone, thanks for all the insights. My wife and I are another couple that love Disney but have never gone to a water park. She loves water parks and has wanted to go for some time. According to what you have all said, I think we are going to try TL. I have a couple of questions though.

Is the swimming with the sharks extra, and how well do you have to swim to do this? How crowded does it get near the end of September?

Blizzard Beach has nicer slides, but for overall theming, I enjoy Typhoon Lagoon much more !!

This girl is ALL about lounging in the Lazy River.....oh and the Shark Reef doesn't hurt it either !!!!!

BB has more slides, I dont' think TL's wavepool is as great as everyone makes it out to be, it gets tiring fast for me at least. I prefer the slides :)
