Journey Into Imagination isn't nearly as good after the refurb. But the part that comes after is quite a bit neater, which sort of makes up for it, I guess.

Of all the old guys my fav ride would have to be Horizons, when I was little the part with the IMAX screen always made me feel like I was really moving with the ride.

Horizons Hands down! It was so unlike anything else at any of the parks in its day. I am just grateful that my parents moved to central Florida in 1985 and I was able to enjoy this ride as much as I could while I could.

I'd have to say Imagination even though I don't have a very good memory of it, it's the only one I can remember!

This is officially the only board I know of that doesn't get upset with thread necromancy.
But definitely Journey into Imagination. Because that's the only one of these three that I really remember.... <_<

we used to prune older threads if they were inactive (dead) for an extended period of time. however, there were times when we wanted to search for something that was previously posted (a quote or a link), but we could find what we were looking for due to the prunings. so, Subsonic deemed we would not prune any more threads.

now, back on track...

my favorite lost/redone EPCOT attraction (and really the only one I remember) were the Hydrolators/Sea Cabs in The Living Seas.

I remember the day I realized they didn't really take you underground....it was like finding out there was no Santa, or that Mickey wasn't really Mickey!!!

they actually did go down a couple of inches. kinda like the Stretching Room at HM. other than that, the hydrolaters just shook a bit and the "cavern walls" were basically conveyor belts. I didn't realize it until I was 19 (previous visit was when I was 6). didn't really ruin it for me, but it was a nice little touch...

Believe it or not, my 24 year old sister, still swears that they really were elevators. She won't believe otherwise. Even though it was clearly obvious that the return hydrolators were nothing more than just window dressing.

It's a very interesting thing, I forgot what they did before you said this. But I did know they didn't go up and down really :( Disney has some amazing Imagineers!

I wish they would refurb/replace wonders of life pavilion. I was in it around christmas 2 years ago and half of the fun little toys didn't even work. It's a sad little corner of the park now.

WOM

Post by jd3921fl » Sep Wed 10, 2008 12:48 pm

I guess I'm in the minority but I really don't think TT is all that great. I actually prefer WOM. Maybe I'm just nostalgic like that.
