Family of the Day at WDW Magic Kingdom

Post by rphillips14 » Feb Sat 27, 2010 11:27 am

We love Disney and support all things Disney. We would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be the Family of the Day. It would mean the world to my wife and children (and me too). Is there anything we could do to appy, enhance our chances or have a shot at this honor.

I would really appreciate any thoughts you all have about Family of the Day. :D

Nope. They choose randomly, unfortunately.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

You just have to be at the right place at the right time. I always thought they picked the perfect DISNEY family. That is a 4 person family, kids in the 7-12 range. I have a friend and his wife that were selected, and it was only the two of them. That is very odd though.

We've got matching shirts. I hope that helps because that would just be the greatest thing-I think I would dance on top of the opening train if we got picked.

As you would expect, they are looking for an upbeat, happy, 'Disney' family. Looks like you have a start. Even if you don't make family of the day, I'll bet you receive some magic while you are there.

Just don't go on vacation expecting anything. Cast Members can tell the ones who want to be the family of the day, but go for the unsuspecting families. Trust me, that is what I looked for when doing family of the day for Tower of Terror and Rock N' Rollercoaster at the Studios. I'm pretty sure that is what they will look for, but every CM is different.

Not having your expectations met can really put a damper on your vacation. Don't let it ruin your vacation if you do not get picked for it.

I think it would be awesome if you were picked for family of the day too! I understand they pick randomly and I always get a tear in my eye when I see a family picked when they have a special needs child/children.

Good luck! Keep upbeat and have a great time!
