Extinct Attractions "World Showcase" CD set tracks

Post by shazammagic » Aug Tue 18, 2009 9:33 am

Does anyone have the (now extinct) Extinct Attractions "World Showcase" CD set tracks :?:

I got the set just before they switched over to their new site, which no longer features the listings, so I'm trying to match up these unknowns with their real titles.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried e-mailing Dave O'Neil at EAC to see if he still has a listing of the tracks?

Yeah, I checked with him first. He said he didn't have it, although I'm pretty sure it was listed (I believe as an iTunes playlist screenshot) on his former site :?

I used to save those listings for the CD's I had bought, but I did not buy that one so I do not have it. However, I discovered on the other CD's that the track listings weren't necessary correct. Hopefully, someone else on the forum may have it.

Thanks, MindFlipper. I've pinged a few other forums, with no luck yet ... but mebbe with time. I have determined about 50% of the tracks' identities, but some of them are very tricky (i.e., trying to figure out if a track is from Norway vs. Germany, Japan vs. China, etc.)

Much appreciated! :D

Here's an idea - it's likely that most of those tracks are here on subsonic too. You can look at the tracks here and compare by length of time to see if they match, or request it and listen to it to see if it's the track you're trying to identify. Wish you luck.

Yeah, I actually had considered that at one point :) I think that'll be the solution, once I've determined that no one else out there happens to have the playlist floating around. I'm sure I can narrow them down enough by my best guess, then yeah it'll just be a matter of matching the length.

Great minds, right? :D
