I wonder how long the celebration will run? I'd love to get out there to see some of it!

Probably a year, though it is a weak showing for a 5/10 year since there are no new attractions/parks as originally slated.

I think the only thing that looks remotely interesting is that new light parade. Then again I wish the Main Street Electrical Parade could just return.

The projection show on Main Street looks pretty neat too :D

The only thing is parades and shows suck, they are way too passive experiences with no immersion.

I generally don't like the parades, but I do like the nighttime parades because I like all the lights. And the music. I like the daytime parades for the fact that most people watch them which makes the attractions queues shorter for people like me who would rather skip the parade and ride the rides!

They don't suck for me. That's when rides become walk-on. :)

In this case, it won't do that much for it since it would be at night and presumably at DCA (parade route is too jammed at DLR for that) and other nightly shows equally pull people away.

 That's my strategy too. We do try to see the nighttime parade at least once during our trip, but even then it's usually the one that starts when the park closes.
