California Screamin'

Post by G2-4T » Aug Fri 12, 2005 10:40 pm

So it looks like Screamin is out of commision for almost the rest of the year - is that what all of you in CA are hearing too? I know it was always broken at some time when I was visiting, whether for an hour or most of a day it never was 100% there... Hopefully they'll get the issues solved for good this time.

Hadn't heard this, disappointed... there are only about 5 reasons even to go to DCA... now one is DOA.

As of this weekend, DOSH is still conducting their investigation. Still a ways to go.

remember that posts with only emoticons (the smileys for those who don't know) can, and may be deleted. We would like only posts with substance. Please remember to post some text with the reasonings for the emoticons.

Hopefully the latest MiceAge articles are accurate and the ride will be up and running by the busy Christmas season.

For now, it looks like even a longer summer for DCA. Tower of Terror has had a 13 minute line consistently throughout the summer. Plus, the 13 normally just means that the wait is 10-15 mins or less.

Sorry! Just meant to imply that it is hard to believe that this ride could be down for such a long time and that it's sad Disneyland has been plauged with problems.

They have been recently testing CS -- hopefully this is a good sign.

Has anyone heard news about Scream'n reopening? My family will be there the week before Thanksgiving and it is a favorite.

Do you know what was changed or modified?

From what I've heard, not much has changed - a further refurbishment is on its way in the future (riiiight...)

I'm a little disappointed, actually - most of the cars don't have music (think: old space mountain towards its demise). However, the stopping brakes are ultra-smooth :)

Cool. I remember right at the end of the right, it slows down and kinda jerks you. Bummer about the music- it definitely adds to the thrill of the ride.

Just got back from DL today... California Screamin' was open. I rode it and it was working the whole week.
