And cue the butt-hurt floods in 3...2...
Re: Thor Meet and Greet this Fall
Hey, exclusives are exclusives, and aren't always balanced. They don't have World of Color, and we have to carry on somehow without Disco Yeti.

Re: Thor Meet and Greet this Fall
That isn't the butt-hurt flood I was talking about, the fanboys have this dogmatic turf war against Marvel, yet they have no qualms with Lucasarts (pre Disney ownership) or Amblin's properties showing up.

Re: Thor Meet and Greet this Fall
Oh, I'd only go if it was the actor who plays Thor.

Found this article with preview photos of the exhibit.

Thor's costume looks like crap.

Now that I look closer, that throne room looks even worse than the costume. Compare versus the display at Comic-Con a few years ago.

Re: Thor Meet and Greet this Fall
Well Thor is second worst of the Avenger character films.
I wonder if the comicon display is still being used by something, sold (they have done that in the past), or possibly destroyed?

Re: Thor Meet and Greet this Fall
I was led to believe at the show that the display came from the original movie set from the first film (they had several other items, as well). They recycled for the other films, so probably haven't gotten rid of it (yet). I'm sure the real consideration for using that cheap looking thing is simply space limitations. The movie set version is LARGE.

Now you've got me intrigued. I guess we will have to stop in and see what it looks like in person. I was inclined to skip this exhibit entirely...

Re: Thor Meet and Greet this Fall
I was going to say it seemed a bit large, but at the same time, if they could use the outer wall rather than the inner one there would have been more space.
Innoventions is kind of in a weird place now, because they want to feature the Marvel stuff upstairs over the smart home (which is updated from time to time) they have you walk in the exit first (I would imagine you would be able to use the elevator instead if your mother is with you) and then exit through what was the entrance.

Yep, but I don't think they do the "We're having a party for some A-hole kid's soccer team" storyline anymore, but they still wear the t-shirt uniforms so you can ask questions as well as get a tour.

Re: Thor Meet and Greet this Fall
I don't even remember if there was a theme when we were there last ~ 2005-ish? It was just a shame to be in where The Carousel of Progress once was and just look around and say....ok...and that was about it It wasn't terribly excitingWizzard419 wrote:Yep, but I don't think they do the "We're having a party for some A-hole kid's soccer team" storyline anymore, but they still wear the t-shirt uniforms so you can ask questions as well as get a tour.

I think the dream home exhibit didn't exist until 2008, so you would have been in the old one.
Still has a larger visitor count that COP does.
