So my in-laws and I are planning a trip to Disneyland. I said that december is a slow month, meaning the first half. Well, the only week anyone can go is the week right before Christmas. The 19th and 20th. What do you think? I just went May 31, June 1-2 and it wasn't bad at all. Is LA Unified Schools still in school then (December)? Can anyone give me good input on this?

Some schools will be in session on the 20th. Others will not. With all the goings on around the 50th, I think it's going to be more busy than not.

A lot of people start the vacations early. Though, a good time to go is Christmas day in the morning.

Well I figured it would be busy, but I didn't know if it was insanely busy. Meaning that it wouldn't be worth coming from Utah to go. My wife and I have year passes, but for the rest of the family, who hasn't been since like 98 or so, we were wondering if it would just be a dumb day to go. It sounds like it ain't too bad with what you have had to say.

I was at Disneyland around that time last year, and I did think it was crowded. But not crowded so much that going on attractions becomes difficult.

The only thing that can get hairy is at night when the fireworks and Fantasmic! take place.

So how long was an average wait for a good ride? In-between 30-60 min?
I just went and my longest wait, thanks to Fastpasses, was Peter Pan at 30 min and the Churro line at about 20 min.

That sounds about right. I think the average wait in stand-by for Indiana was an hour or less. But that was of course before all the 50th celebration stuff.
