Mickey and the Magical Map
Disneyland has opened their new show called Mickey and the Magical Map. The reviews are highly positive. I watched a video of it and it was very good. Has anyone seen the show live themselves? What do you think of the new show?

I haven't seen a video or the show in person yet, but I did see an extensive pictorial review ~ it looks like a really fun show! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it in person in December

The show quality has been improving. Which video did you watch?

We saw it in June it was pretty good seemed like a fill in show for the summer season. I don't see it lasting.

I saw it on July 3rd. While it was a fun show, I don't see it lasting more than a couple of seasons. It was fun, but didn't have the *wow* factor.

I wonder if it will still be there in December, or if they will replace it with something holiday related during that time?Club33Hopeful wrote:I saw it on July 3rd. While it was a fun show, I don't see it lasting more than a couple of seasons. It was fun, but didn't have the *wow* factor.

They haven't done a holiday show on that stage since the early 90's.

Oh, I thought they might change because they do other holiday overlays. I think we will enjoy seeing Mickey and the Magical Map at least once while we are out there.

Re: Mickey and the Magical Map
Outside of the smaller stage shows, they don't do it mostly because they would need to build sets, possibly get a new cast, and all that is only going to run for about a month and a half.
With World of Color, I think they are going to have an actual holiday version (not just a segment before the show) this year, which also has development costs but is far less expensive since all the hardware is in place.

I agree with you.
