I came across two old pictures from Disneyland 1965 when I was a little girl. I was 5-yrs old, and always loved Disneyland! Now living in Florida the last 12 years WDW is my second home! The first one is from Adventureland, and the second is meeting a tall Astronaut in Tomorrowland. Hope you like 'em!

How awesome are those pictures!
Can you imagine how cool/weird it would be if you could take a camera from today back in time to take pictures in the 50s, 60s, etc? I wonder how much the old washed out film look adds to the nostalgic feeling of older pictures.
I really need to scan and upload pictures of my first WDW trip back in '86.

I know Instagram can make modern day pictures look retro...
I would love to see a picture from the 50s or 60s that was taken by a modern day camera. I guess it would just end up looking like an Austin Powers movie.
I'd give it a try...but I am fresh out of Plutonium and have yet to upgrade to a Mr. Fusion.

LOL... I know I really love old pictures! These were in my Baby Book which I have and had not looked at in years. I saw these pics and immediately scanned them. Pretty cool I thought!
However, my parents literally have a few thousand slides... which which is really difficult to look through. They said somewhere, there are slides of when they took me for the first time to Disneyland in 1960. My parents have always told me that Walt Disney was there, shook their hand and posed for a picture. They even recalled it again yesterday telling me the story. So, here I am wishing somehow these slides could be found... sounds like a needle in a haystack! Oh well... maybe someday.

It would look like people in costumes pretending they were on mad men.

You would be Subsonic Royalty if you could find and post that picture of Walt!

Especially if liquor was allowed in DL.

Club 33 did not exist until 1967...so I assume it would have been Walt sharing drinks with friends in his apartment?

Pretty much, or just anyone who also brought it with them into the park.

They got to meet Walt Disney?! How cool!!

Definitely a good reason to sift through the slides. Sounds like a good reason for a family get together ~ make a little dinner, have a little slide show and reminisce

Very nice; you've inspired me to go look through old photos my parents have and see what I can dig up to share. Thanks for posting!
