Re: Free Samples
Wow ~ I didn't know about sampling! Neat
Re: Free Samples
Hmm, it's gotta be torture though. I mean, who can eat just three or four pieces of popcorn? If they do still give free samples I am sure it pays Disney back in spades.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Re: Free Samples
What if you can walk up to each diff Churro cart and get a WHOLE churro sample? You would have a whole bag. Exciting!
Re: Free Samples
That's funny. Just keep accumulating parts until you build your own? The early ones would get cold - you'd have to eat as you go.

You know what would be cool? If for the WSC around the world fest, you could buy one pass and sample WHATEVER YOU WANTED? It would be a total culinary adventure.

I wouldn't be surprised if they toyed with the idea (or having a pre-pay system with x# of items for a flat rate) but probably found it was not worth the work.

Re: Free Samples
I imagine having a set price for all you can sample would be so prohibitively expensive that people wouldn't want to buy it. Each item has a cost of at least $3 and up correct? And each country has three or four dishes? Plus they want you to buy the accompanying drink. It is much easier to get people to pay a little bit here, a little bit there, without realizing how much it is adding up...especially now with the Magic Band tap to pay

Re: Free Samples
I have no idea about the prices, but if they can use the bands it probably will be very useful.
At DCA, the few times they tried a food and wine festival, I recall that they didn't have the alcohol dispersed throughout the event but did "Walks" (similar to a flight) where you paid at one end of the area and you would be able to get tastes/glasses of beer or wine to try out. It didn't seem like it was a smash hit, but that may have been just during the day.
