What in the world will be going on July 17th?

Probably the big party. May 5, 2005 was the kickoff for the celebration, not the only thing going on.

I'm sure they're going to announce something soon regarding what may be going on.

From what I have seen Disneyland president Matt Ouimet work on, I believe their will be some special ceremony although perhaps not as big as the stuff done back on May 5th. Disneyland management isnt perfect but they are definitely getting better.

From various sources, I have heard that they will be handing out cupcakes and golden Mickey ears for free to those in the park that day. For those reasons alone, I expect a capacity crowd.

In my best Homer impersonation, “Mmmmmmmm… Cupcakes…” I wonder how reasonable it will be for them to have all of those cupcakes and ears ready, and not have a logistics nightmare.
