Re: Dateline Disneyland
I am sure the snow bukakke that they perform on the castle isn't at all clashing with the Halloween show they perform there.
It was hard to tell last week if that star on Luigi's was for the holiday since both that and the Italian flag use the same colors.
Oktoberfest... one of the oddest holidays celebrated in the US considering that the actual Oktoberfest takes place in September. This leads to much comedy when tourists go to Munich in October and find them dismantling the festival.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
Eh, Oktoberfest has strange roots that don't conform to modern practices. It originally *was* a mid-October festival, but was moved back to take advantage of better September Bavarian weather. Still, the goal was to run it to the first Sunday in October. The ending date was then changed to match German reunification day (October 3rd). So, yeah, if you don't know in advance, you'd think it was some mid-to-end of October event.

There is so much comedy in the people who don't google it before booking, so all they end up with are expensive hotel rooms and beer, you can still get krunked and have a good time, but you can't ride carnival rides or have the Oktoberfest exclusive brews.

Sounds...like a personal story. Whatever works for you. Myself, I have no objections to fräulein in festival-appropriate clothing. I keep drinking, and they keep looking better.Amy wrote:Much more intriguing meeting them in GermanyWizzard419 wrote:You know there is this great new place you can do it, it's called Italy.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
That reminds me, someone at work came in quite possibly the most disturbing costume. They came dressed as Hans Strudel from the tv ads, complete with the Aryan Youth makeover.
Re: Dateline Disneyland
I don't know what's more disturbing - the Domo angel pastries at the top; the kid's creeper smile; or that deer with a look that says, "Wrong neighborhood, MFer." And is this ad implying that you should skip school (he obviously missed the bus) and get fat with some strudel? The mind boggles.

Neither, he can apparently kick in doors like a movie serial killer and the people are paralyzed with fear and cannot run.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
I hate that stupid commercial! I would have had to avoid that co-worker all day
Nothing racy about the Italians in Germany, just a fun memory of meeting two guys from Italy on the bus to the Neuschwanstein Castle...they had both been enjoying Oktoberfest the night before and were quite quiet on the bus. The one spoke English better than his friend and we all made plans to meet up the next day for dinner. It was just so weird to try to communicate in broken German, some English and Italian over pizza and beer. Such a small world.
And I am sort of on topic by mentioning the Neuschwanstein Castle so I think we should be good from Len's yardstick

All I read was that Amy had a pizza 3 way with some Italians... naughty! I am not sure what a pizza 3 way is, but I am guessing it has something to do with "hand tossed" and "extra toppings"?
