Plain ears are usually around $16-17.Amy wrote:Oh my, that seems expensive. How much are "plain" ears?elizabethswann wrote:I think they're going for $24.Amy wrote:Anyone know how much they are selling the ears for? I would guess it is higher than just a plain set of ears...

Oh. Well then, the glow ears don't seem all that out of line then. If I was going to spring for a set, I would get the fancy ones

It is cool to see them react with the show but what do they do when the show is not running? Do they flash different colors or stay on constantly?
Not quite on topic but still close to home in Cali, has anyone got any pictures of the new Oswald the Lucky Rabbit ears being sold? Make Wizzy mad by posting one of those.

If you're trying to tick off Wizz, then you would buy him one of those "glow" ear hats...NaCler wrote:It is cool to see them react with the show but what do they do when the show is not running? Do they flash different colors or stay on constantly?

I'm not mad they exist, nor am I mad that adults wear them. It just gives me an excuse to pimp slap them.
When they aren't in proximity of the broadcasters they just do normal light up stuff. There is also a feature that they may be adding to all the glow merch, a command within other rides and shows for the ears to not function as well as respond to specific events like they did during the 100 years stuff.

Re: World of Color: Glow With Us
I read in one of many reviews out there about Carsland that there are other areas of Carsland where the glow ears react. On Luigi's Flying Tires, the ears supposedly alternate red, green and white and at Cozy Cone, they supposedly light up orange.
I'm not sure where else the ears are interactive, but I imagine it won't be long before more broadcasters are placed throughout the park.
My beef with them is that while you have the ears on, you cannot see the effects. So unless you see someone else around you also wearing the ears, you won't know when the ears light up.

Think of it as being an entertainment for others. I wonder if they are going to start making more merch that has special reactions within rides? I'm guessing the costs have gone down since 2001 since they tried it then but kind of just left it at the pins.

Yay! I paid $25 to entertain others! Maybe I should carry a tip jar?

If you have to stop in Atlanta, might as well try and get them to make it rain.

Honestly, I was thinking perhaps people would pay me to go away... (or I could always have the CHI on hand for "encouragement" )
