What is with the "weasel" in some Disneyland tracks?

This has been bugging me for a very long time so I decided to ask about it! Never having been to Disneyland, hearing some of the tracks can be interesting, but for a lot of them (maybe they are older ones), during the track, every now and again, there will be something that I don't clearly understand what the little "weasel" is saying... pop goes the weasel? goodbye goes the weasel? However, my real question is.... what is up with the weasel? What is the significance of the weasel? Please help me understand!!!!!!!!

Pop goes the weasel was a recurring bit during the show "America Sings"...I would imagine the only tracks that actually have it would be anything having to do with the show and Remember, Dreams Come True fireworks show. I can't think of any other times where "pop goes the weasel" is used.

I believe you are right with the tracks the weasel is used. Thanks for explaining that! The fireworks show was the one that really confused me...I was wondering why the heck that weasel was there! Thanks!
