Subsonic Radio

In preparation for the opening of cars land, the "faces" of the three monorails have been redone to feature cars characters. The parks blog also stated that the audio for the three monorails will be different as each one will be voiced by the character it depicts.

Blue: Mandy
Red: Manny
Orange: Mona

I personally am never a fan of touching the monorails for anything. I know it's not as tacky as the submarine wrap done years ago in Disneyland or the more recent Tron-o-rail and Avengerail in WDW but it is still annoying to me.

I never realized they had named the monorails, which seems real odd to me.

I agree, I do not like them messing with the monorails. I find it very odd to see the Avengers monorail pull up in front of the Magic Kingdom and then pass through the WDW resorts. Seems very out of place. At least the Tron monorail stayed on the Epcot line.
As for the Cars themed monorails, I just don't like it. We all know Carsland is opening, it doesn't need to infiltrate every corner of the park.

i doubt it will be for long, prolly just the opening season of carsland, then back to normal

I'm hoping that's the case. They do look kind of cute but that's all I'll say.

I'm surprised they were able to get clearance on it considering it does impact the view (a little) of the driver. It's not like they are suddenly going to have something run into their path, but usually it's a risk no one wants to take.

It's just for this promotion. Otherwise they are simply known by color.

Ah, I gotcha. I haven't been inside the monorails since they got the facelift so I hope it's temporary.
