It was probably good that it was early. I wonder if they would have had any panicked guests that were told they couldn't leave? Like you said, it was great for you as the crowds were pretty minimal :D

They probably did say "You cannot leave" to anyone who went towards the front. Either that or they made some accomodations, such as using the exit and gate at the back of cc (it opens right by the parking structure)

That would have been ok. Save some time and walking and not tick off anyone who really wanted to leave.

They also might have run the monorail on partial track since it was far enough away, but only as a means of exit.
