Okay, I've had an annual pass to Disneyland for the past 6 years, but I've got some friends coming to Socal from back east next week. For all of you frequent Disneyland goers, I was wondering what day of the week you would guess is the least crowded. Obviously it's going to be crowded anyway since it's the 50th, but I was thinking...Tuesday the 24th out of next week?

I say monday, reason is everyone is tired from work and kids coming from school and they have to do homework, that is around the fall and winter seasons, summer, well that is diffrent. It is busy no matter what.

Yeah, I was thinking about Monday, but then I thought about the families who like to make their weekends last an extra day, a.k.a. the three day weekend, which can be from fri-sun or sat-mon. That's why I thought Tuesday was the best. Thanks for the response.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays sound good to me. Go while you can, before school lets out.

Poll added. All you have to do is this:

When doing the original post, down at the bottom of the page should be a coupld of places that you can type, and they'll say "poll question" and "add option". Just type in the question you want the poll to be, type in an option you want as an answer, then click the "add option" button. repeat until you have all the options you want.

As for the question that YOU asked, I've never been to DLR, so I couldn't say what days are busier than others. I'd say, though, that the weekdays would be your best shot during the day (if possible) before schools get out. Probably Wednesday or Thursday.

Am I the only one that thinks that Saturday is a cool day to go? Besides the crowds, most everything is happening on Saturday. Fantasmic, parades, etc.

Then again, if your goal is to go on a high quantity of rides, then a less crowded day might be preferred, but you might be sacrificing some cool shows. Look into the show schedule on http://www.disneyland.com before you decide. 8)

That only really applies to the off-season. The rest of the time, they have those things all week long (if I remember right). Still, I would rather sacrifice a few shows if it meant getting the shorter lines.

I was pretty surprised when we went to Disneyland last week though. We went Sunday-Thursday, and even though the crowds seemed thickest on Sunday, the lines we were in that day were shorter than every other day that week. Maybe it's because we went early in the morning and late in the evening on Sunday, which wasn't an option the rest of the week (when the park hours were 10-9). Something to keep in mind.

Monday or a Tuesday, but I chose Monday. People would be at work.

I went last Tuesday and the park was indeed lacking in attendance. The longest line we had to wait in was maybe 40 minutes long, and that was for Soarin', which always takes forever. I'm going on Monday though, so we'll see what Monday's look like.

Middle of the week is best to avoid crowds.

Tuesday because you have the weekenders leaving on Monday in most cases, and the weekers have been there (usually) since Saturday or Sunday so by Tuesday if they haven't hit DCA they will then.

There was a website I saw a while ago that had a whole statistic's thing going on about the best times for the american parks, but ofcourse I can't remember it now.
