I'm surprised the local news didn't cover this, but last week there was a worker injury and they have not been able to hold shows since. They are hoping to be back before the weekend though.

Re: No Fireworks for New Years Eve?
The local news reported it here in LA for me but it was only today so, like you, I heard about the reasoning just now. That explains why there weren't any fireworks on Christmas Eve; their explanation was "unforeseen circumstances" which was something I never heard of but now I know the reason.

Re: No Fireworks for New Years Eve?
Hmm, I wonder if they are just now reporting it so people aren't swamping the park and then complaining bitterly if there are no New Year's Eve fireworks? I wonder what a "noise-related" injury would be? Messed up his hearing?? At least it doesn't sound like it was a life-threatening injury so that is good.

Re: No Fireworks for New Years Eve?
It sounds like it wasn't so much their fireworks as it was the equipment since it was related to an air launcher. Either way, not a good day for someone.
