They are all over the place, you can see them easily on the tram route, plus some of them probably come from the neighborhoods right next to the parks.

I thought that the sprinkling of ashes in the Haunted Mansion was only an urban myth...

There were a few new reports about the ashes in Haunted Mansion and in Pirates.

Best place to see the cats is near critter country or Indiana Jones. I remember when they had the bad rodent infestation. Back in the late 80's my mom and I were on the train on Mainstreet and we saw at least two of them dead laying in the tracks. I remember my mom saying "Oh no...MIckey's dead!..." I always wondered how they would get rid of infestation....well now we know! :ccat:

I've seen a little cat house in DCA right by the former California Zepyher train engine. My mom was the one to point it out to me.

I'm making it a point to try and spot a cat when I go next month.

When I was visiting DCA last December, there were two roaming the hillside of Grizzly Peak. We watched them for a while from the terrace at Golden Vine Winery. The server seemed pretty knowledgeble about the cat history. They seem an attraction of their own, like the WDW MK ducks and rabbits.

It seems like every few months, a bored internet "news" writer trots out the "Secrets of Disneyland!" trope that you can find in 5 minutes on Snopes. Latest case in point:

More like the internet equivalent of a local community college broadcast journalism class semester final project.

Buzzfeed has done their own secrets about Disneyland before and it's basically the same stuff I knew except there were a couple I didn't. I had no idea you could request your own Haunted Mansion death certificate but I have heard conflicting reports that they don't give them out anymore.

It seems like some of the things the parks did at one time become extinct once too many people know about them :(
