If I get to DL next year, I definitely plan to take this tour. I cannot imagine anything more magical than walking where Walt once walked.

How much does it cost and what does it entail? Anyone know?
Playing tag should be permitted on Tom Sawyer's Island so the guards would stop yelling at me.

On the latest AP brochure, it says that the premium AP gets a discount on selected guided tours. Not sure if this one counts.

I went on this tour about 4 years ago it came with our vacation package (I know that it has changed a bit - I read somewhere that you get to go into the lobby of Club 33 now, and take you on a ride or two), but when we went it was totally worth it. They walk you around point out things you would never notice and give you the history of some of the attractions and answer your questions. I would love to go again even if I had to pay for it :) now I just need to squeeze it in. Hope this helps.

THIS TOUR IS AWESOME!!!!!! Especially if you are a "Walt" fan and not just a Disney fan. IT WAS SO AWESOME to walk in Walt's footsteps.

bdinger wrote:Has anyone been on this tour lately? If you see my previous posts in this thread, you'll see that we went on the tour in 2005. Back then, the tour ended with lunch on a patio near the Disney Gallery in New Orleans Square. It sounds like the Disney Gallery has been converted into a suite that they're using for the year of a million dreams give away. I'm just curious how they're now ending the tour. Are they still doing lunch up there? Or, did they change it to something else?

We just got back from Disneyland (we went February 2-10). We went on the tour and it was amazing!! A MUST for any Walt/Disneyland fan. We had lunch in the tour gardens. It was our tour guide, Wendy's last tour before she was promoted to another department. She was awesome! My sisters, Mom and I have the tour before - a couple of years ago and not one thing was repeated this time around - we learned so many cool things. And of course the look inside Club 33 was such a treat!

P.S. You get a discount if you have a AAA card, an annual pass or a Disney VISA Card.

I wish the tour would bring you up to the apartment on the second floor of the fire station, and let you ride in the Lilly Belle Caboose. Then I would pay $100.00

I WENT IT WAS AWESOME!!
a lot of stuff I did not know. Like the windows have painted names on the 2nd story windows. for people who have made Disney parks what it is today. The lastest name is Fess Parker (davey Crocket) in frontier land. also DID you know on the day of the disneyland monorail inaguraation. Walt was so excited to show vp nixon that he took him for a ride on the monorail and left the secret service on the platform. Just one of the many cool stories and things you get to see when on the tour. My advice spend the money and take the tour IT ROCKED!!

Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.
