From the AP wire:
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- "Frasier" star Kelsey Grammer took a sudden spill while hosting a function at Disneyland.
He was master of ceremonies at the California theme park's 50th anniversary celebration. But when he got too close to the end of the stage, he fell off the end.
The star of the long-running NBC comedy wasn't joking when he went down. In fact, he uttered a word that the censors would have bleeped. But after brushing himself off, Grammer apologized for his language and finished the end of his routine.
"I'll finish this," he said. "Then I'll take a look at what I've done to my body."
Grammer wasn't seriously hurt in the fall.

Saw that yesterday. He's lucky he didn't hurt himself.

I am really surprised OSHA didnt require stage edge lighting on a stage like that. He was lucky he stepped far enough out and missed nailing things on the way down.
Someplace I read he was limping the next day some.
Thanks for the video.

You also have to remember he is looking out into a dark room with lots of light shining back at him... Hard to see!

That and the Hyperion's stage has a "jagged" front, meaning it's got an uneven edge to it, which makes it difficult to perform on unless you've done lots of work there before and know exactly how far out is too far out. I think he handled himself quite well, though. If it were me I'd probably be uttering more than he did and perhaps would've just limped offstage to make sure I was okay (not bleeding or anything). Thumbs up, Mr. Grammer.

I saw it too, and I have to say, that he handled it very well. Im sure many of us have had that instinctive curse every now and then, especially when we anticipate great pain. But I think he had a very sincere appology for his language, and I like his small joke about it at the end of his speech. Good save

he handled himself very well, but then Grammer always handles himself well. Did he curse as he fell? I thought he said "dear god,' that's better than what I would have done.

Yeah, that's pretty embarrassing for Kelsey Grammar. Fortunately he is good at handling situations like that as he can do comedy quite well.

Okay, now that I've seen it I can say, it was kind of funny considering how crotchety he seems in the video. He is kind of pretentious too, but I was saying in general how he seems to handle things well. In this case I think he was hurt from the accident so it is understandable that he didn't handle that one too well. I think he said "Good Lord" when he ate it.
