Has anyone experienced the Wine Country Trattoria World of Color Dining package? My wife and I found this on the Disneyland website and were wondering if it's worth the money.

Do we still pick from the standard menu? How's the view of the show from the "Preferred Viewing" section?

Thanks for the info!!!

I've never done this but I know someone who has I'm trying to get their review soon! Sorry for the response delay.

As far as I can tell it looks like the same menu tho. And the viewing for WOC is supposed to be amazing. Tho, bring a small poncho.

So the viewing area is close enough to need a poncho? Sounds similar to the close seating at Fantasmic in WDW. I'll keep that in mind!

Ya I've never gotten that close but one of my podcast co-hosts has and he strongly suggested a poncho.

I think it might have a lot to do with wind/how much you hate water. I was there in the front yellow section (the closest you can get I think) and I got a light misting. But I am sure if the Santa Anas were blowing (so far they are off schedule) everyone would be soaked.

Opening day I was in the red section and I was close up and I got pretty wet there.

The only thing is, we were hoping to be able to record the show. Enough water to make people recommend a poncho makes me a bit nervous to bring my video camera.

If you do the dining package your sections are here in green (map might be out of date) and when you show up it's more or less go wherever there is space in the section.

Basically from what I've been told my someone who has done the dining package was as a far as food goes she said, "The dinner was a different menu, and you had a choice of entree but the salad and dessert were chosen for you." She also said that it was a waste of money. the seating was not worth it at all. I've never done it personally, I would say tho if your thinking seriously about doing it try maybe the picnic WOC package I've heard nothing but good reviews of that.

That sounds about right for a prix fixe menu (that and they have an excuse to get you out of the resturant super fast for the show). When your friend said it wasn't worth it, did they view it as a ticket for the show that cost that much or did they not like the food, a combo of the two?

One of the comments I heard about the dining section was that it has a lot more space since fewer people wish to pay for dinner to see the show.
