I wonder if those are still just the temporary railings? Do you know where this photo was taken from? Maybe the Matterhorn?

I got it off westcoaster.net. I'm waiting on Micechat's update later on today to see if they took any photos of it.

Maybe the handrails will only pop up during maintenance ::crosses fingers::
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I noticed a few of those rails peeking out from under the tarps when looking at the MiceChat update too...and I'm hoping that it's not the permanent rails. I read through a few of the comments from other readers and there were a few great ideas of how to theme the rail without taking away from the rider's experience. I would hope that Disney could be creative while putting safety into place.

I would trust that Disney would know what they're doing but I don't know...let's just hope and pray that those rails aren't the official ones.

I'm with ya on that one Ms. Swann! It's those little things that are completely void of creativity that make the parks a much less magical place to be. Don't get me wrong, safety is a very important aspect, but safety doesn't have to make the attraction look like a jail with green bars.

Now, if those rails were just a base and the whole thing is disguised to be a vine, then it might not be so bad.

That is along the lines of what I was thinking. They could easily make the safety rails into vines which would fit nicely into the theming...hello out there, if you are monitoring the boards...make the rails look like vines please!

If Disney is smart enough to create handrails that pop up if the system senses an intrusion on the track at Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, I don't think you have to worry at all. Just my opinion, but time will tell.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

The railing situation isn't looking so promising so far... :(

I'm kinda sad though...it closed 3 days after we were there. We had passed by and thought about going on it, but figured since we had gone on it in March, we were going to hit something else this time. Kinda wish we went on it now... :(

It should be open the next time you go...and it will be "safer" then!

Yeah, but the rails will be there...unless like MadEye mentioned, they happen to put in the rails that pop up.
