This is what I'm hoping will happen. If they're just going to be there, it will throw off the whole theme of the ride.

I hope MadEye calls it right. One thing I love about the ride is the mousy-craziness of the outside. Rails would ruin that.

If what they are showing in the latest pictures are the final railings, I wouldn't expect a whole lot of open-air feeling anymore... :( I would hope they would tweak the final design a bit and implement it during the next refurb though.

Well, it is official, according to the latest MiceChat ~ the current railings are only temporary ~ at least until sometime in 2011!
http://micechat.com/forums/blogs/in-the ... notts.html
Some excerpts from the article..."A permanent fix is still being debated and designed at WDI, and the major refurbishment needed for the project has yet to be slotted in to the 2011 calendar" "But this is all temporary so the attraction can keep running until the long term solution can be designed and built" "Never fear Alice lovers, the temporary scaffolding and railings is just that, TEMPORARY!"

I always thought that WDW had one. All I know is that they don't have their own Mr. Toad anymore.

Nope, no Adventures at WDW with Alice of Wonderland, and Mr. Toad handed his deed over to Winnie the Pooh in 1999.

That's such a shame. They should have kept Mr. Toad there.

Also, the latest Micechat update shows photos of the railings and it looks real.....horrible. I'm pretty sure they're temporary until they fix it up as what they said in the update but wow.

I just hope that Disney does the right thing and follows through on their word of getting a permanent fix for this. It really looks hideous to see those fake tarps and big blue rails.

The tarps are pretty bad. And did you see the photo from the top of the attraction itself with the new plywood flooring?! Ugh!

The faux wall in front of the entrance/exit of the top tunnel is pretty tacky looking too. It doesn't really look well with it on.
