We just got back from our first trip to Disneyland. We sayed at the Grand Californian. Loved it! Out one door turn to the right, go a block +-, and your in Disneyland. Go out the same door go left and your at Downtown Disney. Go out another door at the Grand Californian, and you step right into Disney's California Adventure Park.

It is definitely centrally located, but it is a little pricey right?ericpabear wrote:We just got back from our first trip to Disneyland. We sayed at the Grand Californian. Loved it! I agree with the DLH seeming like the "ghetto". Why is it everytime I hear someone has been there they always say it is being renovated? Every time I've been to DLR that hotel is being renovated! It would seem like it would be cheaper to demolish and start anew with the $ they spend on constantly renovating it LOL! To me, you can't beat the GC. It's up there with the WDW resorts.

Well, I'm hoping that the DLH renovation will finish soon. I'm not sure how much longer it will take to tear down the Lost Bar and the other buildings/features they'll be getting rid of.

I haven't gotten to stay at any of them yet but I've always wanted to stay at the DIsneyland since it seems to be the most "classic Disney" of them all.

If I could only pick one, it would have to be the Grand Californian. Being right next door, as well of how gorgeous it is, clinches my vote.
