Radiator Springs Racers is ‘On Track’ to Star at Cars Land

“Cars” is one of my all-time favorite films from Pixar and that’s why I’m so excited to give you a peek at the vehicle testing for Radiator Springs Racers. This thrilling new attraction is set to open in 2012 with the debut of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park. Vehicle testing is an important milestone in the development process and that means we’re one big step closer to racing through this new land. Testing is expected to continue through the end of July, then the car comes off the track while construction is completed.

The bright cars you see here will each carry six guests through the twists and turns of Ornament Valley. Radiator Springs Racers covers a lot of ground – nearly half of the 12 acres in Cars Land! Check out our video and imagine what this high-speed adventure will be like.

This looks like it will be an awesomely themed ride

I'm excited to see how this one will come through.

In the cast member home viedos the car is going around super tight turns at higher embankment then test track. It's going to be very thrilling

We didn't get on Mickey's Fun Wheel this time to see the construction progress first hand. We especially would have liked to since it won't be long until the structure for the rock mountain will be complete and no one will be able to see anything! But we are very excited for Carsland!!!

Just please don't hold your breath...it's still about 2 years away from opening! We don't need to see headlines coming out of Michigan..."Woman tries to hold breath for 2 years to see some cars in CA...film at eleven"

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh....phew, thanks for the heads up...resuming inhaling and exhaling on a regular schedule until further notice

I can't wait for this ride. I love test track, and this like so much more fun

Can't wait...I saw construction on the site a few month's back!

Deb from Allears has a video of the "topping out" ceremony. They were not allowed to take pictures or video of anything other then cadillac mountain range though. It looks very big and exciting!
