I'm trying to figure out where the songs are in the request list that are from Disneyland's mainstreet/hub area. Sometimes I would just sit in the hub and listen for a whole hour.
Do you ever just sit and listen to the music?

Well, I know all the songs by osmosis. When you drive up and down Main St. everyday you get quite familiar with the tracks.

I would love to just sit around that area and listen to music and watch the crowds go by, but there isn't enough time!

What he said. I always feel like "I'm in Disneyland, I have to be doing something!" I do enjoy people-watching on Main Street while I eat though.

I always know it is there but don't sit to listen much, usually stop to eat or relax for a few minutes then move on...

I'm in the same boat on this one. Too many years spent working on Main Street to fully appreciate the music any more. That's why I prefer music from almost anywhere else in the park. The Main Street loop was burned into my subconscious so badly that I'm sure I could still stand in the hub and tell you what song is coming up next.

Probably what CMs say about working on small world.

No doubt, imo.

And that is why I'm so hesitant to work at Disneyland. I just don't want to have anything ruined for me.

From experience I can say this: you don't hear the song after a while, but that clock ticks in your head for hours after you leave your shift.

I have never noticed music in/on Mainstreet, probably cause we are rushing down it to get to the rides, or busy going in and out of the stores on our way out of the park. I need to take in the whole experience this time, so in December I am going to really pay attention to it!

I'm guessing people don't notice it because Disney blends it into the area so well. I'll bet that if the music wasn't working and was off it would feel strange to walk down the street. Heck, I know it does. It's like that when the park is closed.

I used to... when I'd get bored. Now I would most likely hear music in Adventureland and New Orleans Square mostly because I am in that area most of the time.

Never really stopped and listened, but noticed it's there.
