They were trying to get it to look like the Paris park. They have a cool one. You get launched from the outside and go in from the top, (based off of Le Voyage Dans la Lune)

But the paris one has all the nice strobes lights and the canon launch. Not just a brown mountain. The Paris one looks nice because of the great lighting work that they did.

I think there is no chance the Astro Obitor will be back on top in the next two years, that would take a huge amount of work and close off a chunk of Tomorrowland during the big 50th.

However, People Mover track work would not cause any major problems on the ground below... Still, much as I would love to see it back I'm not counting on it...

I have the same feeling. Even with Al's previous record, this seems a little extreme. But I sure would love to se SOMETHING up on the pm track.

I thought the space mountain looked fine, but I like the white one more.

I would have to agree that white looks a lot better, but quite frankly, it's what's inside that counts. The brown/gold space mountain fit the color scheme for the 'new tomorrowland' of a couple years ago. It would have looked peculiar had they left the mountain white and painted everything with the metallic look. Now everything should look better since they've given Tomorrowland another makeover.
