I'm surprised no one has outright started a topic for this date. People have been sorta talking about it in other threads around here.

So is anyone going on that day? I myself am going to be there; can't stop thinking about it!

Hey, I just realized that is my Grandson's birthday, he will be 7! I am a young Granny, my son turned 18 and said "hey look what I can do" (that was 7 yrs ago!), I told him next time he had something to prove DON'T! Oh but I wouldn't trade my Grandson for anything, or my son for that matter :D

I wanted to go there on May 5th, but the problem is that I have an AP Exam that lasts until 12:30. By the time I make it to Disneyland, it would be around 1:00. I bet the park will be filled to capicity that day.

However, I am definitely going on July 17th. Free birthday cake, free golden Mickey ears, and one ride (maybe!) on Space Mountain.

A little off topic here but what AP exam are you taking. This is my last year to be free of them then I will have 4 in one year.
I wish I could go either of those days. But I have school on the 5th and I would just be getting back from europe on teh 17th. Oh well I guess I'll have to wait till August.

Good luck - I remember the calc and physics ones were a joke [at least they couldn't give us negative scores!]

I'll be taking a final in Wastewater Treatment and ceratinly would rather at DL!

Yuck AP exams!! Back in hs, I took the literature and U.S. history one. Only the History exam got me out of taking 2 of 3 required university history classes. The literature got me out of 'dumb-dumb' english.

Good luck on those exams! Are they still expensive?

FYI--Courtesy of Matt Drudge:

"Today at 5:05:05 am & pm the time will be 05:05:05 05/05/005....

05.05.005 comes only once in 1000 years and coinciding with Thursday (5th Day of the week) comes only once in 7000 yrs... "

What a perfect day for the beginning of the greatest celebration in DL's history!

I had the option of going today (thankfully I have no classes on tuesdays or wednesdays) but I opted out. I went on tuesday and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! There was NOBODY in DCA or DL, but I'll save that for my trip report later tonight along with pictures you won't believe.

Yeah, just got back from Disneyland. I was there on Thursday and Friday. Never seen it so crowded in my life.

You need to go New Year's Eve then! :)

The thing that got me is that it wasn't just the crowd that was bad, but the fact that everyone was crowded onto Main Street and the hub was full of media. Admittedly, the photos I got of the security lines stretched all the way back into Downtown Disney (and filling the trams stops) and the esplanade complete full of people were pretty amazing.
