All these people who went to WDW or DLR - and no trip reports! It's soooo sad... :(

It does seem like they tease a little :( Maybe they were intimidated by someone's awesomely clever pseudo-trip report ;)

It's never too late for a trip report.

Ok, can someone review for me? How many sections are there for World of Color? What's the best/worst section? How early should we arrive in our section? And is the Fastpass distribution so random that one person in our party could be in blue and another in red?

Lots of questions there, any tips would be great!

Here is a map, worsst section would probably be blue or standing behind the projections on the boardwalk. Your ticket will tell you what time window you need to be there between and that they won't accomodate early arrivals.

I'm not sure if it's random in the sense that you get your pass for one of the 3 sections (green is for dining package people) but what happens is that one person from your party gives all your groups park tickets to the person giving out the passes and they give you a set of tickets for a section for the show (the sign at the front will say which show they are giving out tickets for). Be sure to go there first thing as they are sold out fast, they open the distribution up 30 mins. before DCA opens.

^Wow, thanks! So do they shuttle you through the main entrance down to Grizzly River Run up to 30 minutes early, or do you go through the Grand Californian entrance? Oh, and can Paradise Pier hotel guests go through the Grand Californian entrance? If not, can we use it after those passes are 'sold out'? Thanks for the great tips!

What happens is the path for the park is open all the way up to the fastpass area for Grizzly/WoC and when the gates for the park open (30 mins before the actual opening/rope drops) you can walk over to it and get in line and get your tickets for WoC. It takes about 5-10 mins and most people don't realize you only need 1 person in your party to hold all the tickets/pick them up so the bulk of the line is just filler.

You should be able to use the GC entry, I've used it as an AP without issue.

I've even heard tell that you can see the backside of water across the way in that new fangled Disneyland park ;)
Don't forget to take lots of pictures for us poor folk that aren't going to make it out to see World of Color in person any time soon :(

Hey, Wizzard419, you say the tickets sell out fast - how much $$$ do the tickets cost?

You use your park ticket/annual pass for the tickets. They're like fastpasses that give you a time for showing and seating area. As for the dining packages, you'll have to check online or call the Disney Dining number.
