My first thought was I can't believe there's going to be Starbucks...can't get away from the corporate world anywhere.
Then I thought about it...the corporate world has always been a huge part of the parks. Attractions have always been sponsored by some company and it wouldn't be the first time they would have a contract with a corporation for F&B services (i.e. Hills Bros. coffee, McDonalds)
I think it would be a nice change since I am not a huge fan of their current coffee (or hot chocolate for that matter)...the one thing I'm worried about is pricing. Starbucks is so overpriced as it is...what will they do in the parks? $8 for a venti latte? If so, I'll pass on the coffee and stick to my $3 bottle of soda.

As has been said corporations have always been a big part of Disney. WED felt that he could get somebody else to pay for it. I just question Starbucks, didn't they just close over half their stores? Granted there were places that had a Starbucks about 300 yards away from each other. Even in Chattanooga there was on shopping center that had a Starbucks on each corner and one in the Target.

The article states they will serve basic Starbuck's menu. I've been to places that serve Starbuck's coffee (that's it just coffee no moca frappe vente) and they aren't a big Starbucks operation. It makes me think since it says basic that it will be just that and no big deal maybe a sign saying they serve Starbuck's and the logo on the cup. As for expense if you go to Starbuck's and buy a basic coffee it isn't that expensive it's when you start going all special coffee that the price soars. I'd say no big deal if they don't put a big Starbuck's sign on the front of the building on main street.

That isn't coffee, it is a little bit of espresso with 500 calories and 59 grams of sugar of flavoring.luke91016 wrote:Starbucks has great coffee. My favorite is the White Chocolate Mocha.
True, Starbucks has cheaper brewed coffee than most of the other places I have been. In fact a tall cup of brewed coffee is cheaper than a soda at most restaurants (and better for you).disneylandmom wrote: As for expense if you go to Starbuck's and buy a basic coffee it isn't that expensive it's when you start going all special coffee that the price soars.

I go to Starbucks twice a day, and there are many great places for them (Airports etc) but Disneyland? I don't think that would be right. I would rather have one across the street near McDonald's than in the park.

I'm pretty sure there's a Starbucks somewhere on Harbor Blvd. unless I'm imagining things.

It looks like there is one on the corner of harbor and ball (there don't seem to be too many locations, not counting places that happen to serve the coffee). Though there is one on site, at least according to google maps, at DLRP.
