Re: DLR ticket price increase
Well, here we go again. Disneyland ticket prices are increasing by $4 this time around. Annual passes are now going to be $20 more!? I doubt I want to renew mine this year now.

Re: DLR ticket price increase
If you go very often, then $20 spread out over a whole year isn't too bad...but if you only go infrequently then it wouldn't be that great of a deal...I just saw WDW tickets went up too and I didn't get our package booked over the weekend like I had wanted toelizabethswann wrote:Well, here we go again. This is insane!
We won't be getting APs again anytime soon...it's not as economical for us anymore.

It's really a shame that the prices are increasing during the economic time of need. I love Disney but some of us still need that extra bit of dough to get us through the next few months.

Re: DLR ticket price increase
I hear that! We had to let ours finally lapse in 2007 (I think we originally bought APs in 2000 and every year after). We have been to the parks maybe 3 times since (not including the D23 party)...and we were used to going at least 3-4 times a year. When we first bought APs, I think we paid $129 or $139 for a deluxe...a premium was $199. Then one year we upgraded to premium because we were going during the holiday blackout time (plus we were going on the weekends more often rather than during the week) and we never looked back...until 3 years ago.

Any news on WDW ticket prices? I have heard that their stroller and electric buggy rentals are also increasing.

I'm not sure if it's the same as WDW but you'll have to check around and see!

Here are the WDW rates BLT, I had the link in an earlier post but didn't identify it very well...

Re: DLR ticket price increase
Thanks. I have heard that traditionally Disney tickets go up in price around the first weekend in August. Apparently the tradition continues.

I never realized it was a tradition but that's an interesting fact there.

Re: DLR ticket price increase
Well, maybe "tradition" isn't the best term. What's a better way to say it?
How about "customarily, the WDW ticket prices increase the first weekend in August." Either way, it's wise to buy tickets early.

Ahh, that makes more sense there. Looks like I need to save up for a lot more.

Maybe you can talk your family into helping fuel your Disney habit by giving you birthday or holiday money towards the annual pass?!elizabethswann wrote:Ahh, that makes more sense there. Looks like I need to save up for a lot more.

There are some Disney gift cards you can use at the park and towards admission. Please check first before purchasing.

Re: DLR ticket price increase
I have a DLR annual pass. I'm just saving up for WDW tickets. I'm also thankful I'm racking up Disney Reward Dollars with my Disney Rewards debit card.Amy wrote:Maybe you can talk your family into helping fuel your Disney habit by giving you birthday or holiday money towards the annual pass?!elizabethswann wrote:Ahh, that makes more sense there.
