Sounds like Date Nite Saturday Night to me! Wasn't there something like this already at...that stage that comes out of the ground?

Edit: Wait, that is the Tomorrowland Terrace - mixed up the World and Land again!

There used to be dancing with strobe lights and the works at the Terrace in the late 90's. Sounds like they're bringing it back.

With the swing dancing at the Carnation Gardens and the dancing at the Tomorrowland Terrace, DL's gonna be rockin' this summer.

You know, they tried this with Videopolis in the 90's and that didn't last very long. Let's see if this version actually works.

Yes, this sounds just like Videopolis. Dance clubs are tricky, especially in Southern California where there are so many locals. The risk is the club becomes a hangout for local kids and the magic is lost. Aside from Videopolis, Knott's had Studio K and Magic Mountain had several dance clubs in the early '90's.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

So I experienced this during our trip this past week. Now maybe it's just me but this made me want to flee the Tomorrow land area as quickly as possible! Does it have the same effect on anybody else or is it just me?

I don't care for it much. I just like the music they play sometimes. Most of the time I'm not even in that area or I have my iPod with me.

Yeah pretty much I and the others, from the DL5se that ate at Tomorrowland terrace, ate over on the Matterhorn side closer to the end of the tables to avoid the music. Tomorrowland has become a night club at, well night. Not really my thing, I liked Tomorrowland last time I went, night club on Firday and Saturday nights and normal the rest of the nights.

This is kinda related to a thing they do for the Heritage Festival, a choir competition where the awards are given out at Disneyland just after the fireworks. After the ceremony, they offer a dance thing, but everyone flees (note, we're high school students). It's not something you would go to Disneyland to do, when you can dance elsewhere without paying for a ticket and eating up valuable ride/shopping time.

Exactly it's like a night club and that is not what I buy a ticket into the Disney theme park for. It doesn't even go with the whole idea that it is "Tomorrow" Land. They could at least try to do a futuristic band or something if they feel they have to turn it into a night club in the evenings. I mean they were playing Music from the 80's and 90's.

We used to dance at Tomorrowland Terrace way back in the day ('60's and 70's) and had a blast. It was so cool to see the stage and band come up from the ground! Back then we had strobe lights too =)
Everything old is new again.....ha ha ha just like me.....ha ha ha

The only band I saw was a guy at his computerized keyboard with a bunch of girls jumping up and down on the stage. The rest of the nights it was DJ with a bunch of girls jumping up and down on the stage. (Hmm...note...maybe I'm just getting too old to appreciate this stuff)Hmm (or maybe my expectations from Disney are too high)
