As of December 2008, all 16 Disneyland Resort trams, which transport guests between the two theme parks and parking facilities, are fueled by clean-burning compressed natural gas (CNG). Using CNG will eliminate the need for approximately 50,000 gallons of diesel per year. For the 10 years prior to the conversion, diesel/hybrid engines powered Disneyland trams.

I feel like some sort of news correspondent and I like it. But yes, thoughts on this?

This is good news. I'm surprised Disney didn't have anything about how abundant NG is in the US. This will also help with our energy independence. Now back to Elizabeth in Anaheim. LOL

That's good to know, I wonder if they have converted the trams at WDW. I don't remember the tell-tale smell of diesel exhaust, but then again for the last few years, I have gotten to the parks so early I just walk from the parking lot (or park in employee parking - one of the perks of having a relative work for the mouse).

Yes, Every bit helps.
Now if they could come up with a design to add or convert the Space Mountain roof into Solar Array that would be great.
The public visibility could do wonders for technology like that using existing roofs to help provide power to the grid.

That's a great idea. With the locations of the American parks, solar arrays would be very useful.

I think it's a wonderful idea! I hope WDW can follow something like that, I know their fleet of transportation is much more vast though.
But, it's a start, I'm all for it!!!
