Disneyland Monthly payment plan for Annual passes.

Post by disneyfamily2008 » Jan Fri 16, 2009 7:57 pm

I was planning on going to Disneyland next month and I wanted to do this. Has anybody tried it yet? How does it work? And when do they take out your first months payment. I think you pay 69.00 for the 1 day 1 park right? Thanks guys.

Don't know, can't say. it is a VERY new thing. I know over on Mice chat only 2 people have taken advantage of it so far, and only because their AP's were up for renewal when they went. But I bet if you call Disneyland's phone number you can find out more about it. You most likely will be able to find out when they will charge you and when the first payment would be do. Let me see if I can get the number for you.....here we go (714) 781-4400 this should be for the ticket office.

Annual Passes

Post by Hope » Jan Mon 19, 2009 8:38 pm

I just got my pass last month with the payment plan. You pay the $69 at the time you purchase the pass and then within 2 days the 1st months payment is due. All you have to do is give them the credit or debit card you want the money to come out of and they pull it out automatically for you every month. I love it cause otherwise I would probably not have my pass right now.

When my mom renewed ours, she paid the $300+ upfront for a total of five passes. She didn't want to do the payment thing so she paid full for them all and it was well worth it.

I hope they do it this year for WDW too. Those are really expensive!

This concept just seems strange to me. I would not want to turn my Disneyland experience into a monthly bill. Does anybody else feel this way or is it just me?

Yeah, I was wondering that as well. Of course right now it doesn'tmatter because one trip a year does not warrant an AP... but if they do something like this and I get in a financial situation where I can afford a few trips down, I would seriously take advantage!

I was thinking of doing this, for the premium AP, but then I looked at the Block out dates and decided that I won't need it. Since I am going to the HM 40th I will need to be in DL around Labor Day weekend, but the Block Out dates work out well. This means that I am just going to buy the Deluxe pass out right. Just like Disneylandmom said I don't want another monthly bill.....especially for something as "cheap" as the Deluxe, it isn't that cheap but it is better than the $389 premium.

From what I can tell this is just another way for people to buy a ticket, shelling out one twelfth of the $269 for a delux passport each month is easier to swallow than a larger purchase such as this. For me though, I buy the annual pass only as an upgrade from a 3 day park hopper ticket.

This way I get the early entry on a given day and any other promotional discounts at the time. The I use the AP as I would normally then let it expire. The next time I go I repeat the process over again.

This way, if there is a few months between when I go and when my pass expires I can get more time for the AP. making my dollars go further. No sense in paying for something when your not using it.
