Wow, thanks for posting the article. This looks like a blast. Ah the torture of only having two weeks of vacation... :hm_ghost:

If it's per guest, each guest has to pay $475 for their room stay?! YIKES! That's pretty steep if that's correct.

But, I definately want to hear about this!!!

here is the info from disney about couples

Standard accommodations one person per room. Includes room rate and tax only. Couples purchasing the Grinning Ghosts or Foolish Mortals event package will be offered a second night hotel accommodation (consecutive to the first night 9/9/09 only) in a standard room/double occupancy at the Disneyland® Hotel (or another Resort hotel as determined by Disney) in lieu of two rooms for one night. Subject to availability.

The room look looks like it's for 2 people but I'm not sure exactly what they mean by the above statment.

I'm a little confused but Disney said that they are not accepting calls fax's or e-mails about this event yet. :(

Holy cow that's expensive. I would seriously love to go but if I had a choice, I would have to get the cheapest one available. I would have loved to get a chance to stay in the Grand Californian Hotel even if I live forty-five minutes away.

here's the official information on the event. there are rates as low as $85/pp. it all depends on the extras you want, and if you are planning to stay on Disney property.

The park admission I believe is for the special event....basically from what I have heard it will be like other large special events, they will close at 6pm and only be open for the participants in the HM 40th event.

I will be going to this on 09-09-09. I have already earmarked the cash for it, and have started to plan for it. I missed the 30th and 35th but the heck if I am missing the 40th. I plan on taking video and stills. I'm not totally sure I can do the report as well as some people can.

It looks like it would be fun, but the prices are waaay too steep for me to be willing to shell that out.

I look at it this way, your getting a good room in either the Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel. Granted those are $475 or $430 respectively, and the only difference between those two and the Dearly Departed package is the Stay in the hotel and this Crypt-ic Amenity. I'm still debating on which of the top three packages I want to get. I think I might be asking a few question when I call Disneyland.

Duh!!! I didn't even think about that! oops! Thanks for that I should've had my V8!

I don't need the hotel I'm still deciding between the 250 and 85 dollar packages.

Man, I would love to do that, but I have never been to Disneyland, and for the forseeable future, that looks like it will stay the case (maybe I can win the lottery?) but man if I had the money, I would *SO* do that!!!!!!
