Is the Sleeping Beauty Castle Open Yet?
I read on Mouse Planet (some time ago) that Disney said the castle would reopen sometime in the fall. Well, it's fall. (I know, I know, don't set my set heart on Disney's schedule.)
Anyway, when I went to Disneyland the 2nd weekend of October, I was sorely disappointed to find that the attraction was still closed; however the Disneyland construction barriers around the entrance is promising.
Anyone know when this is supposed to happen?!?!

I read over here at travel.latimes.com that it will be re-opening in mid December

You are correct Josh Q, the castle walk through won't be ready for guests until December. The La Times has 2 great articles on this, check them out:

I'm so very, very happy they are re-opening the castle. I remember being so disappointed when I went in 2005 and it was closed. This has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid - many moons ago! So looking forward to seeing it again, that I didn't read the spoilers. I want to be surprised as much as I can be.

Hey everyone. I too am excited about the new walk-through, and like most every-
one else think it's loooooonnnggg overdue
. I myself can remember going
through the castle and enjoying the feeling of just 'sightseeing' everything that
was inside; one of those quieter - and cooler - places to just 'hang out' for awhile
in the hot summer months.
Oddly enough, I do remember the keyhole scenes being in the dungeon, but
never knew of the 'eye effects'. And yes, the 'Barbie and Ken' figures at the end.
Here's hoping Mr. Baxter and associates really bring their creative forces to bear
on much beloved, and sorely missed, DL classic. Peace.

This is a full photo visual tour that I found off another Disney forum site. It looks pretty great! It's a definite upgrade from how the castle dioramas were before.
